The Murder Room

I read this book at the same time I read The Damnation of Theron Ware by Walter Frederic. It turned out to be a strange contrast.

The Vidocq society members and cases are compelling and engrossing. The crime victims, their families and friends, and the Vidocq society clearly deserve having their stories told.

I 'read' this as an audiobook so I didn't see all of the spelling mistakes or such that have caused so many one star reviews, which I think are unwarranted unless it really is that bad in print. In audio it was a captivating, amazing listen that breezed through dark yet fascinating material that one often confronts in fiction, but never cold reality.
